India is my country too, Punjabis don’t need to give evidence for patriotism: Shubhaneet Singh Shubha

Canadian singer Shubhaneet Singh aka Shubh, who came into controversy after the post of removing Punjab and Jammu-Kashmir from India’s map, has issued his first statement after the entire incident. Shubneet aka Shubh’s reaction comes after Boat-speaker company Mumbai withdrew its sponsorship and canceled the show from September 23 to 25.

Singer Shubh’s tour has been canceled not only in Mumbai but across India. In which shows were to be done in 12 different cities including Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore. Book My Show has given this information in a post on the social media platform.

The company said that customers will get a full refund of the tickets within 7-10 days. The show was to be held on the Cordelia Cruise. Shubh was to do his show in Mumbai from September 23 to 25. After this, the show was also held in Chandigarh on October 6 and Ludhiana on October 7.

Shubh said – I am disappointed with the cancellation of the India tour
Shubh has reacted to this entire incident on his social media account. Shubh said – As a young rapper-singer hailing from Punjab, India, it was my lifelong dream to bring my music to the international stage. But recent events have affected my efforts and progress. I wanted to say a few words to express my disappointment and sorrow.

I am very disappointed with the cancellation of my tour in India. I was very excited to perform in my own country, in front of my own people. Preparations were in full swing and I had been practicing with all my heart and soul for the past two months. I was ready to perform, but I guess fate had other plans.

India is my country too. I was born here. This is the land of my Gurus and my ancestors, who did not blink an eye to make sacrifices for the freedom of this land, its glory and family. Punjab is my soul, Punjab is in my blood. I am what I am today because of Punjabi. Punjabis do not need to prove their patriotism.

At every turn of history, Punjabis have sacrificed their lives for the freedom of this country. So I humbly request you to avoid labeling every Punjabi as separatist or anti-national. My intention to re-share that post on my story was only to pray for Punjab as there were reports of power and internet outages across the state. There was no other thought behind it and it was certainly not my intention to offend anyone.

The allegations against me have affected me deeply. But as my guru has taught me “manas ki jaat sabhai ekay pahachanbo” (considering all human beings as equal) and taught me not to fear, not to be afraid, which is rooted in Punjabiness.
