Bureau Report: In Pathankot, the police have identified the person who killed the husband and wife by putting a plastic envelope on their mouths within 24 hours. The murder of the elderly couple was carried out by their servant. After the incident, the accused escaped on his scooty after wearing the owner’s clothes. The police have recovered the clothes worn at the time of the incident. However, the servant is still said to be absconding. Police is trying to reach the accused on the basis of CCTV. After carrying out the murder, the servant escaped with the valuables from the house. The husband and wife lived alone in the house. Their two sons live in England, while the daughter is studying in Chandigarh.
Murder with a sharp weapon
An elderly husband and wife running a flour mill in village Manwal Bagh were murdered with sharp weapons. A plastic envelope was put on the mouth so that the sound does not go out. The elderly couple who have been murdered are named Rajkumar who is 62 years old and his wife Champa Devi is said to be 57 years old.
The servant carried out the incident in anger
Pathankot SSP Harkmalpreet Singh said that the servant in the house has committed the incident of double murder. Who has been identified as 30-year-old Balwinder Singh alias Kalu. Although the accused is still absconding, the SSP said that there was a dispute between the deceased and the accused regarding the salary. Due to which, in anger, he carried out the incident.
The clothes of the accused have been recovered by the police
At present, the police have recovered the clothes that the accused was wearing at the time of drawing blood. Several teams have been formed to nab the accused. The police, who are conducting raids, have issued warrant posters of the accused. The police is claiming to arrest the accused soon. The police have also seized the CCTV footage of the accused from many places.
