Today is the second day of Rail Roko movement in Punjab. 19 farmer organizations from 6 states of North India are protesting on railway tracks at 12 places including Amritsar, Jalandhar Cantonment and Tarn Taran. Due to which the railways had to cancel many trains and the routes of many trains have been diverted. The passers-by are facing a lot of trouble. Other trains running between Haryana, Punjab and Delhi have also been affected, the list of which has been released by the Railways.

In such a situation, passengers going to Punjab are reaching Ambala by train and beyond that they are traveling in buses. In such a situation, there has been an increase in the number of passengers in the trains running on different routes of Punjab.

Farmers are protesting on railway tracks in Moga, Hoshiarpur, Batala of Gurdaspur, Jalandhar Cantonment, Tarn Taran, Sunam, Nabha, Basti Tankwali and Mallanwala of Ferozepur, Rampura of Bathinda, Devidaspura of Amritsar.

Many other demands including loan waiver
The protesting farmers are demanding that the Swaminathan Commission report be implemented, the loans of farm workers should be completely waived, compensation should be given to the families of the people of Punjab who lost their lives during the farmers’ movement and they would be given a job. , the protesting farmers also demand that compensation for the crops destroyed in floods and rains should be given as soon as possible, the central government should immediately enact a law on MSP and ensure 200 days of employment every year under MGNREGA.
