This information has been given by the Education Minister of Delhi. That is, school holidays have been extended from Monday January 8 to January 12. Let us tell you that earlier the Delhi government had withdrawn the order to extend the winter holidays late at night.

In fact, in view of the cold wave and fog that has been going on in Delhi for the past few days, on January 6, the education department of the 'AAP' government extended the holidays of all government and non-government schools to December 10. In an order issued by the Directorate of Education, it was stated that schools will remain closed till January 10, but the order was withdrawn by the Delhi Education Department within an hour.

In this regard, the Directorate of Education has said in its new circular that the holiday order was mistakenly issued on Saturday, which is withdrawn with immediate effect. After which it has now been decided that school holidays have been declared till 12th January up to class V.

It should be said that the capital of the country, Delhi, has been experiencing extreme cold for the past several days. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature fell to 15.2 degrees Celsius, which is four degrees below normal. The minimum temperature is also around 8 degrees.

AQI in Delhi is also registering in the very poor category due to cold wave and dense fog. There is little hope of relief from the cold for the next few days. According to IMD, rain is likely to occur in Delhi on January 9 and 10. Keeping these aspects in mind, the holidays of primary schools have been extended till January 12.
