According to the advisory issued by AIIMS, in view of the reported increase in global cases of corona and to prevent new outbreaks of the disease, AIIMS Delhi has made the use of masks mandatory for all hospital staff.

Along with this, it was written in the advisory that, “Make sure to use reusable cloth face cover / surgical mask in the workplace. Ensure proper cleaning and frequent sanitisation of the workplace, especially frequently touched surfaces.

Significantly, on Wednesday, 1,149 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Delhi and the infection rate was 23.8%. This information was received from the data shared by the Health Department. After more than seven months, the number of cases of infection has been recorded beyond 1,000 in a single day. On August 17 last year, 1,417 cases of Kovid-19 were reported in Delhi.

On the other hand, according to the Bulletin of the Health Department, a corona patient died in the national capital during the same period. However, it said that the primary cause of death of the patient was not corona. So far 20,17,250 cases of corona virus infection have been reported in Delhi while 26,546 patients of corona have died. With this, after the recovery of 560 patients from Corona virus infection, the number of people recovering in the state increased to 79,98,400 on Wednesday. There are now 5,421 active cases in the state.
