At the same time, the Haryana government said that this dispute has been going on for the past two decades. And the Punjab government does not want to solve this problem. No solution was found in the last 2 meetings. The SC ordered the Center to initiate the process of surveying the current status of SYL on the Punjab side. The SC has also ordered the Punjab government to provide adequate security to officials coming from the Center for the survey. The Rajasthan government also said that the attitude of the Punjab government does not seem to be progressing in this direction.

SC said that the process of making SYL in Haryana has been completed. Now Punjab should work to find a solution to this problem. The Supreme Court said that we are working towards finding a solution to this long-standing dispute. We hope that the Punjab government will also work in this direction. The Supreme Court has also sought a report from the central government on the current status of construction of the SYL canal in Punjab.
