Significantly, a 51-year-old man, who was injured in a mob attack on police following clashes near a Ram temple in Sambhajinagar town, died during treatment at a hospital. In fact, when policemen tried to control the situation following a clash between two groups near the Ram temple in Khiradpura area of Sambhajinagar, a mob of about 500 people pelted stones and threw petrol bottles at them.
At the same time, at least 12 people including 10 policemen were injured in this incident. The incident took place on the intervening night of last Wednesday and Thursday in which 13 vehicles were torched by miscreants.
