Ropar: Gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s accomplice held with 9 pistols, 20 live cartridges | News Ticker

Ropar, February 18: The Ropar police on Saturday arrested an accomplice of gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. He has been identified as Vishal Verma, alias Shalu, of Hoshiarpur. Nine pistols and 20 live cartridges have been recovered from his possession.

Vivek Sheel Soni, Ropar SSP, said accused Vishal Verma, an accomplice of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, was hatching a conspiracy to carry out a big crime with these weapons. The SSP said the gang was also involved in smuggling of weapons and drugs in the Punjab.

Ropar SSP Vivek Sheel Soni added that on a tip-off, a search  operation was conducted by a team comprising SP Manvinderbir Singh, DSP Talwinder Singh and CIA in-charge Inspector Satnam Singh. The accused was arrested from the Ropar bypass.
