Regular: Harjot Bains has served teachers working on low wages for 14 years

Taking another pro-employee decision, the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has regularized the services of around 100 teachers who have obtained higher qualifications from recognized universities outside the state of Punjab.

Giving information in this regard, Education Minister of Punjab. Harjot Singh Bains said that during the recruitment of 7654 and 3442 in the year 2009 and 2011, some teachers had obtained high qualification through distance mode from recognized universities of other states 14 years ago.

Due to which the services of these teachers were not regularized for 14 years. S. Bains said that when this matter came to his attention, he had given instructions to complete the regularization process by forming a high-level committee under the leadership of the Director of the Department of Secondary Education.

According to the Education Minister, now only a few teachers have remained regular and the work of verifying their documents is going on, which will be completed during this week itself.

Director Education Department Secondary Education Mr. Sanjiv Sharma handed over the letter to regularize the services to these teachers.
S. Bains said that the Chief Minister As per the orders of Bhagwant Singh Mann, the efforts to eliminate the word ‘raw teacher’ from the dictionary of the education department are continuing.
