On the guidelines of CM Mann, the vaccination campaign was carried out to prevent animal diseases

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the animal husbandry department has intensified the vaccination campaign to protect human lives and property as well as to keep animals free from diseases. According to the information, till now 11672 animals have been vaccinated while 2862 animals have been treated.

Keeping in mind the health of the people, the health department teams are also actively working in the flood affected areas. Currently, 359 Rapid Response Teams are operational while the number of medical camps has been increased to 263.

According to the instructions given by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, 25160 flood affected people have been taken to safe places. A total of 164 relief camps are running in the state, in which 3331 people are living. Maximum 56 relief camps are in Jalandhar district.

The spokesperson said that 1390 villages in 14 districts are still affected by floods. The 14 districts that are currently under flood-affected include Patiala, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Pathankot, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Faridkot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Moga, Ludhiana, Mohali and Sangrur. According to the reports received by the revenue department from different districts, a total of 29 people have died due to floods in the state while 3 are still missing.

He further informed that dry food packets are being distributed continuously in the flood affected areas. More than 72000 dry food packets have been distributed in Patiala (52000) and Rupnagar (20030) alone.
