Vigilance again sent notice to former CM Charanjit Channi

Punjab Vigilance has again sent a notice to former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. Channi has been asked to appear at the Mohali headquarters on April 21 in the disproportionate assets case. Earlier on April 13, when Channi came to Jalandhar to file the nomination papers of Congress candidate Karamjit Kaur, he was summoned by sending a message on WhatsApp on April 14.

Vigilance had given notice to former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi for April 20, but as soon as Channi opened his mouth against the government by holding a press conference, orders were issued to appear at Vigilance headquarters 6 days earlier. Before appearing in Vigilance on April 14, Channi became emotional and said that they are empty, they have nothing.

Former Chief Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi was interrogated for 7 hours at the Vigilance Bureau office in Mohali on April 14. After the interrogation, Channi said that they are trying to humiliate and defame him in every way. Attempts are being made to file an illegal case against him. Whatever they had, they have presented it to the Vigilance.

Let it be known that in the case of blasphemy, Vigilance had prepared more than 50 questions for Channi. Channi was also questioned about Rs 10 crore recovered from his nephew Bhupinder Honey in the mining case. He was asked where Honey got 10 crores from. Apart from this, he was asked about his income and assets after becoming a councilor to MLA, then MLA to minister and chief minister.

Vigilance had asked Channi some questions about building property abroad and investing there. Which was completely rejected by Channi. Channi who came out after the interrogation was very angry. Channi said that everything is being done deliberately to harass and defame.
