Chandigarh: The series of rains which started from Sunday in different districts of Punjab is continuing on Monday as well. Rain alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in 5 districts of Punjab. It will continue to rain here for the next few hours. Except for Barnala, Sangrur and Mansa, there is a possibility of 25 to 50 percent rain in the entire state.

A rain alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Gurdaspur, Amritsar and Pathankot. Light to moderate rain has been falling intermittently since night in these districts. Along with this, the minimum temperature has been recorded in the districts of Punjab after rain. Also, if it rains throughout the day, the maximum temperature is likely to drop by 1 to 2 degrees.

After the rain on Sunday, the maximum day temperature has dropped. Where earlier the day temperature was being recorded around 36-37 degrees, now the temperature of the cities has reached close to 33 degrees. Along with this, the average temperature of Punjab on Sunday evening was recorded 4.9 degrees lower than the previous day, while this temperature was 3.1 degrees lower than normal.

Amritsar – On Sunday evening, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 33.6 degrees, which is 1 degree below the normal. Today’s minimum temperature is expected to be around 24 degrees and maximum temperature is expected to be around 32 degrees.

Jalandhar- Yesterday, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 33 degrees, while today the maximum temperature is estimated to be around 32 degrees. Today’s minimum temperature will be around 25 degrees.

Ludhiana – On Sunday, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 26.7 degrees, while today’s maximum temperature may also exceed 30 degrees. The minimum temperature is expected to be 23 degrees today.
