Border Security Force and Punjab Police have clashed with Pakistani smugglers in Ferozepur district. BSF has succeeded in nabbing 2 smugglers. The condition of one of them is critical due to bullet injury. Along with this, BSF has also seized 29.26 kg of heroin in this operation.
Currently, a search operation is going on in the area. According to the information received, this incident took place around 3:30 am. After receiving information, a joint operation was conducted by BSF and Punjab Police (CI Ferozepur) on the banks of Sutlej river near Gatti Mataur village.
At around 2:45 am, the BSF spotted the movement of some Pakistani smugglers coming from Pakistan towards India. It is said that the jawans initially challenged them but sensing the threat on their retaliatory action, the BSF jawans Started firing on smugglers.
The smugglers also fired back. Meanwhile, a smuggler was shot in the hand. After this BSF and CI Ferozepur have arrested 2 smugglers along with the consignment.
