Bhagwant Mann on Education System: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that Punjab is taking great steps towards the new education revolution to provide quality education to the students of government schools. Talking to reporters after sending the third and fourth batch of 72 principals to the ‘Singapore Principals Training Academy’, the Chief Minister said that these principals are being sent to Singapore as per the guarantee given by them to provide quality education to the students.

He said that out of these 72 principals, 92-93 percent of the principals are going abroad for the first time, with which their visit will prove to be a milestone for bringing improvements in the field of education. Bhagwant Mann said that the aim is to ensure that the students of the state can get a world-class education in Punjab, so that they can compete with their peers studying in convent schools.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that the state is witnessing revolutionary changes in the education sector, where principals and teachers are being sent for training abroad and students are witnessing amazing opportunities like Chandrayaan-3 at ISRO. He said that the ‘School of Eminence’ has emerged as a hub for educational and extra-curricular activities to ensure all-round development of children. He said that the aim of these initiatives is to end the trend of youth going abroad in the state and to channelize the boundless energy of the youth in a positive direction. Bhagwant Mann said that the day is not far when the students of the state will march in every area and make the name of the state shine.

He said that good coaches are being provided to the youth in the field of sports and teachers in the field of education. He said that the purpose of this is to ensure the all-round development of the youth in every field so that they can reach new heights in these fields. Bhagwant Mann said that the youth of the state has immense potential and if they are given proper guidance, they can excel in any field.

Bhagwant Mann hoped that during the training these principals would be equipped with modern teaching skills prevalent abroad. He said that after the return, these principals will share the experience with the students and their colleagues so that the teachers can introduce the students to the new era of education. Bhagwant Mann said with hope that with this the students of the state will be able to compete with their peers who have studied abroad.

The guarantee of providing high-level education in Punjab, today is proving to be another milestone in that chain.

CM Mann further said that this is a unique initiative which will revitalize the entire education system of the state for the welfare of the students. He said that it is a matter of pride for him as these principals will act as ambassadors of change in the education sector in the near future. Bhagwant Mann expressed the hope that this would bring about the necessary qualitative change in the education system of the state by providing good education to the students.

He also said that the first batch of teachers went to Singapore for training in February while the second batch visited Singapore in March. He said that after five days of training in Singapore, the third and fourth batch of principals will return to the country on July 29. Bhagwant Mann said that online applications for training were sought from these principals and they were selected purely on the basis of merit.

The government opened eight state-of-the-art centers

Bhagwant Mann also said that the state government is opening eight state-of-the-art centers to train students for competitive exams. Bhagwant Mann said that this center provides UPSC to the youth. will provide quality training to pass the examination and serve in important positions in the state and the country. He said that the goal of the state government is to ensure that the youth serve the country by sitting in high positions. On this occasion, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains and others were present along with the Chief Minister.
