Punjab government should develop a common information bank of departments

Punjab Agriculture Department: There is a dire need to prepare a complete information bank related to agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and processing industry for all-round rural development of Punjab. It should include the research done by the respective universities, expansion and success stories of successful progressive farmers, horticulturists and animal breeders.

In this, the complete details of the schemes issued by the Central Government and the Punjab Government should be in the mother tongue Punjabi. This idea is a teacher who has served for thirty years in Punjab Agricultural University and Chairman of Punjabi Folk Heritage Academy, Ludhiana Prof. Gurbhajan Singh Gill told Punjab Agriculture, Rural Development and Migration Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal in a private meeting at his home.

He said that all the departments should have access to this information bank, which would help in planning the work and facilitate the access of knowledge to the common people.

Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that we always ask for good suggestions from every conscious communication expert and scientist so that knowledge can reach the farmers in a transparent manner effectively. We will definitely consider this suggestion. In this regard, one university will be made a nodal agency and the cooperation of other departments, institutes and universities will be taken.

After the cabinet meeting in Ludhiana, Punjab Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal reached Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Ludhiana for a family meeting.
