Punjab government schools mid day meal: From this month in government schools across Punjab. K. G. Hot mid-day meal will be served to 1.94 lakh children enrolled in the class. After getting the approval from the center, the state government has introduced U. in nearly 9500 government schools. K. G. will provide mid-day-meal to the students of The Union Ministry of Education has approved a budget of Rs 39 crore for providing nutritious food to these children during the current financial year under the Balwatika project.
It is being told that a meeting of high officials has been called by Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on August 9 in this regard. It should also be mentioned that in Punjab, during the present time, the students of class 1 to 8 are given mid-day meal.

In fact, the School Education Department of the Punjab Government had submitted a proposal to the Union Ministry to bring 3.82 lakh children of pre-primary classes under this scheme, which the Center has approved.
