Door-Step Service Delivery Scheme: Administrative Reforms and Public Grievance Redressal Minister of Punjab Aman Arora said that under the commitment of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to ensure seamless services to the citizens of the state in a transparent manner, the services provided by the Punjab government through service centers are now available to the people at their homes. They will be able to because the state government is planning to start a door-step service delivery scheme.

Presiding over the 16th meeting of the Board of Governors (BOG) of the Punjab State e-Governance Society here at Magsipa, Aman Arora directed the officials of the department to speed up the process of starting door step delivery of services. .

The Cabinet Minister said that currently more than 400 services are being provided to the citizens through the service centers and door-step delivery of all these services will be started. With this initiative of the government, the people of the state will be able to get government services at home.

He said that after the launch of the scheme, the applicant will be able to avail door-step delivery of the listed services by simply calling a toll-free number to book a home visit and a person will visit the applicant’s home and collect all the necessary documents. will upload them and then submit it to the concerned department.

Aman Arora said that with the launch of this scheme, people will not need to go to government offices to get services and this will also eliminate the role of middlemen, who used to rob people on the pretext of getting the work done quickly.

Instructing the concerned officials to further raise the standard of services being provided through the service centers, he asked them to provide civic services in a modern way so that uninterrupted services can be ensured to the people.

The Cabinet Minister also said that Connect Portal and PGRS. The portal should be further improved so as to provide better services to the users by incorporating state-of-the-art technology.

In this meeting, Special Chief Secretary-cum-FCR. K.A.P. Sinha, Principal Secretary Administrative Reforms Tejveer Singh, Director Administrative Reforms Dr. Karthik Adappa, CEO Punjab State E-Governance Society Girish Dayalan, MD Info-Tech Mahinder Pal and other senior officials of the department were also present.
