Bureau Report: The strict tone of AAP and Congress regarding INDIA alliance in Punjab is now seen to be loosening. Earlier, Finance Minister Harpal Cheema pointed out that the alliance has been formed to protect the country’s interest and democracy. Small and big obstacles will be removed in Punjab as well. Now the leader of the opposition, Pratap Singh Bajwa, has also supported the implementation of the Kerala formula of INDIA alliance in Punjab. He said that the way CPM is in government and Congress is in opposition in Kerala, but when the results of the Lok Sabha elections are out, the Lok Sabha members of both the parties will come together. That is, during the Lok Sabha elections, both the parties will field candidates against each other. Similarly, in 13 Lok Sabha seats of Punjab, AAP and Congress will fight against each other, but when it comes to forming the government at the Centre, then the Lok Sabha members of both will form the government together.
Until now, Pratap Singh Bajwa used to say that he had no relation with him, but now he has softened his tone. Pratap Singh Bajwa said INDIA alliance has been created to stop BJP and its purpose is big. Pratap Singh Bajwa while speaking against ‘One Country One Election’ questioned PM Modi that when his government was formed last time, they would have held elections within a year and set an example, now the government’s time is over. And now they are chanting one country one election. Bajwa said that we do not want elections to be repeated within 8 months to one and a half years in those states like Himachal, Gujarat, Karnataka including Punjab, while the people have given a majority of 5 years.
Bajwa accused the BJP that they want to hold Lok Sabha elections in India on the lines of America. Just as America stands for the election of a person for the President, in the same way the election of the Prime Minister should be conducted directly. Bajwa said that the BJP is panicking because of the anger of the people, they feel that they will not get a majority in the Lok Sabha, that is why they now want to see Modi as the Prime Minister for the third time from another way.
