Let us tell you that the latest case is of Shermajra village near Patiala. Gagandeep Singh, who is leading the anti-drug campaign here, was attacked by drug smugglers late at night. According to Gagandeep, when the assailants attacked him, he ran away to save his life. In favor of those campaigning against drugs, MP Praneet Kaur along with former Dakala chairman Madanjit Singh have raised their voice and demanded strict action against drug traffickers. Praneet Kaur said that Gagandeep Singh should be given immediate security.
Gagandeep Singh said that some people smuggle drugs in Shermajra and some surrounding villages. The youth of the village stopped them by conducting an anti-drug campaign. The police also supported the youth of the village due to which the work of the drug smugglers came to a standstill, which is why they have started attacking.
