Police have arrested drug smugglers in Bassi Pathans of Fatehgarh Sahib. The police have recovered 2 kilos of opium from the accused. A case has been registered against the caught smuggler under the NDPS Act.
DSP Mohit Singla said that in the middle of the night when the police party was present at the gate, a youth on a bike was stopped near Shaheedgarh. He has been identified as Harpreet Singh Happy resident of Duleep Nagar Mandi Gobindgarh. On searching, 2 kg of opium was recovered from him. A case has been registered against the accused and further action has been started.
