Varanasi (Agency): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his parliamentary constituency Varanasi for a day on March 24. During this, he has a program to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various development schemes worth Rs 1,650 crore. The local administration informed about this on Thursday.

Will lay the foundation of the country’s first urban transport ropeway

Varanasi’s Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Varanasi on March 24. During this, he will lay the foundation stone of a total of 25 schemes worth Rs 1450 crore for the people of Kashi and will also inaugurate projects worth Rs 200 crore. During this, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the country’s first ‘Urban Transport Ropeway’ in Kashi. The people of Kashi were waiting for the Urban Transport Ropeway for a long time.

The distance from Cantt to Godaulia will be completed in 16 minutes.

Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma told that there will be five stations in the ropeway to be built at a cost of Rs 664.49 crore. After its completion, the distance from Cantt to Godaulia can be covered in just 16 minutes, which currently takes at least 45 minutes.

Will be involved in TB Day program

Before PM Modi’s Varanasi program, CM Yogi Adityanath will go to Varanasi for two days on March 17. He will finalize the necessary preparations before the arrival of PM Narendra Modi. On the occasion of TB Day on March 24, he will also review the preparations for the program organized at Rudraksh Convention Center, Sigra, Ministry of Health. The CM will also attend the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s Group of Ministers at Hotel Taj Ganges on March 18.

Big facility for the devotees coming to Kashi Vishwanath

The Urban Transport Ropeway car to be built in Varanasi will have seating facility for 11 people. This ropeway is being seen as a great facility for the devotees of Shiva coming to Kashi Vishwanath temple. In the first phase, Godaulia intersection will be connected to Cantt railway station in this project. During this there will be a total of five stations. A distance of 4.5 km will be covered between Cantt Railway Station, Vidyapeeth Station Rath Yatra, Church and Godaulia Station.
