Pramod Jha, Patna: Construction of many roads in Patna district is going on at a slow pace due to slow process of land acquisition and compensation distribution. Non-availability of land in Fatuha zone in Amas-Darbhanga four lane, 45 percent of those whose land was taken for Mithapur-Mahuli elevated road, have so far received compensation, land acquisition for Sherpur-Kanhauli ring road The work has not even started. At the same time, about 16 crore compensation has been distributed in lieu of land acquisition for the six-lane bridge being built between Sherpur-Dighwara. However, DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh has instructed the concerned officials to speed up land acquisition and compensation distribution for all the projects going on in the district.

Aams-Darbhanga Four Lane

For the Amas-Darbhanga four lane, 205.25 acres of ryati land is to be acquired in 12 Mauza of Fatuha and Dhanrua zones of Patna district. 123.24 crore compensation will be distributed in lieu of land acquisition. The process of land acquisition is going on in eight villages of Dhanrua zone. So far compensation of about Rs 25 crore has been distributed among 123 ryots. Similarly, farmers are protesting against the rates in four mouzas of Fatuha zone. Fatuha and Dhanrua circles together have 29.82 acres of government land. The possession of the land has been given to the road construction agency. Now the agency can start construction work.

Sherpur-Kanhauli Ring Road

For the Sherpur-Kanholi Ring Road, 187.299 acres of land is to be acquired in 12 Mauza. Out of these, 3D of land acquisition has been dedicated to NHAI in 11 Moujas. After its approval by NHAI, the rate of the land will be decided. Due to non-fixation of rate, there is delay in land acquisition and distribution of compensation. After some technical process, the process of land acquisition is about to start in one Wazidpur of Bihta zone.

Sherpur-Dighwara six lane bridge

For the Sherpur-Dighwara six-lane bridge, 114.82 acres of land is to be acquired in Gangahara, Shankarpur Diyara, Khaspur, Sherpur, Balua, Rampur Janjira and Magarpal. For this, compensation of Rs 186.70 crore will be distributed. Out of 70 crore allocation for compensation distribution, about 16 crore has been distributed. The 3G estimate of 38.25 acres of land in Gangahara is approved by NHAI. Due to some technical reasons, the compensation has not yet been distributed. Similarly, two acres of government land is to be acquired in Magarpal.

Patna-Gaya-Dobhi Four Lane

Compensation of 413 acres out of 466 acres in Patna district has been distributed for Patna-Gaya-Dobhi four lane. Rs 1570 crore has been distributed among the farmers. The pace of work is slow due to laxity of the road construction agency.

Mithapur-Mahuli Elevated Road

For Mithapur to Mahuli elevated road, 8.70 acres of land has been acquired in Panch Mauza. Compensation of Rs 108.35 crore is to be distributed in lieu of land acquisition. Rs 100 crore was allocated for compensation, out of which about Rs 45 crore has been distributed. Apart from this, 17 non-Majrua owner lands and eight Bakast owner lands are to be made Ryati/Government in Char Mauza. For this, Phulwarisharif CO has to submit the land related report to DCL.

Danapur Bihta Elevated Road

For about 20 km elevated road between Danapur to Bihta, 65.41 acres of land is to be acquired in nine Mauza of Danapur zone and twelve Mauza of Bihta zone. Of this, about 15 acres of land belongs to the Railways. Apart from this, 470 crore compensation amount is to be distributed for 50 acres of land. 41 crore compensation has been distributed on the basis of applications received from the farmers. For the construction of elevated road, the process of transfer is going on after marking the railway and government land.
