Dharwad (Karnataka). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday dedicated the “World’s Longest Railway Platform” to the nation at Sri Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Station here. During this, while addressing the program, he targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in London.

PM Modi criticized Rahul Gandhi’s recent statement at Cambridge University in London. He said, “India is not only the largest democracy but also the mother of democracy. It was my good fortune that a few years ago I got the opportunity to inaugurate the statue of Lord Basaveshwara in London. But it is unfortunate that the work of questioning India’s democracy was done in London itself. He said, “No power in the world can harm the traditions of India’s democracy, yet some people are constantly putting India’s democracy in the dock.”

Addressing the program, Modi said, “We are working together in the direction that the life of every person in Karnataka should be happy, the youth here should get employment opportunities, the sisters and daughters here should be more empowered. The BJP’s double engine government is making sincere efforts for the overall development of the entire state.”

He said, “Today a new stream of development is emerging on this land of Dharwad. This stream of development will work to irrigate the whole of Karnataka along with Hubli-Dharwad. He said, “Dharwad has not been just a gateway but has become a reflection of the vibrancy of Karnataka and India. It is known as the cultural capital of Karnataka.

PM Modi said, “The new campus of IIT in Dharwad is writing a new chapter in the development journey of Karnataka. The more the best institutes, the more people will have access to good education. This is the reason why the number of good educational institutes in India is continuously increasing in the last 9 years.

Speaking on the connectivity of Karnataka, PM Modi said, “Karnataka has touched another milestone today in terms of connectivity. Now Siddarudha Swamiji station has the largest platform in the world. This is not just a record, it is an extension of the thinking in which we give priority to infrastructure.

He said, “Earlier rail and road projects were announced only after looking at political profit and loss. We have come up with the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti National Master Plan for the entire country. So that wherever there is a need in the country, infrastructure can be built at a fast pace.
