A major accident occurred while renovating the old petrol pump building in Jalandhar, Punjab. During the renovation, the roof collapsed, causing the workers to be buried under the debris. Rescue operation has been started. Two workers have died in the accident, while two injured have been taken to the hospital.
The incident is from Lasara petrol pump located on Phillaur to Nawanshahr road. The old building at the petrol pump was being renovated. Suddenly the roof of the house collapsed. On hearing the noise, the locals called the fire brigade. With the help of local people, two laborers were pulled out alive, but they have been admitted to the hospital due to their critical condition.
Two died due to being buried under the debris
After the incident, the police reached the spot. Police say that two laborers were standing on the roof while the work was going on. Suddenly the roof collapsed and the workers were buried underneath. Both the workers standing on the roof died on the spot.
