Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson said that Jaswinder Singh had filed a complaint that the said Patwari had asked for a bribe of Rs 20,000 in exchange for registering the transfer of the land purchased by him recently.
The spokesman said that after the preliminary investigation of the complaint, the Vigilance Bureau team laid a trap and arrested the said patwari in the presence of government witnesses, taking a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from the complainant.
In this regard, a case has been registered against Patwari Jitinder Singh at Police Station Vigilance Bureau, Patiala Range and further action has been initiated.
