Former hockey player Paramjit Kumar has got a government job. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has handed over the appointment letter to Paramjit Singh while reiterating his government’s commitment to promote sports.

The Chief Minister met the former national hockey player and promised to give him a job. Paramjit was assured of a coach job at Faridkot by the Punjab government. The department had also started paperwork regarding this and today the Chief Minister handed over the appointment letter.

Paramjit’s achievements are great

Paramjit was at the center before 2009. Played hockey for the Punjab Police and the Punjab State Electricity Board on a three-year contract. During his time in Patiala, Paramjit was part of SAI’s combined team in the Under-16 and Under-18 Hockey Nationals, where the team won silver at the Under-16 Nationals in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

Along with this, he was also nominated in the Indian junior team for the Junior Asia Cup in Bangladesh in 2007. While in Delhi, he also played the Nehru International Cup with the Indian team. Many players including Indian hockey captain Mandeep Singh have been playing with Paramjit Singh.
