Joe Biden Trips and Falls: US President Joe Biden fell during a program at the Air Force Academy on Thursday. However, they were immediately picked up by security guards. On which now the White House said that the President is fine.
Joe Biden saluted and shook hands with graduates during the event in Springs, Colorado. Meanwhile, he fell in front of the stage. He was assisted by an Air Force officer as well as his security personnel.
A video of the incident went viral on social media, showing Biden walking unaided and later smiling and walking to his vehicle.
Biden addressed the cadets at the start of the program. After spending more than 90 minutes congratulating the cadets and distributing certificates, he reached his seat but lost his balance and fell to the floor.
CNN reported that Biden indicated that something blocked his path, pointing to the spot where he fell. Despite the fall, the President managed to get back to his seat without assistance and appeared in good condition at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Communications Director Ben Labolt tweeted, President Biden is fine. At 80, Biden is the nation’s oldest president.
Similarly, he fell while cycling in his home state of Delaware. He was seen stumbling on the stairs while on board Air Force One, CNN reported.
