Ola Electric, one of the country’s largest electric two-wheeler companies, has announced to increase the number of its experience centers to 500 by March. The company had initially decided to sell electric scooters only through the D2C business model. Last year, the company started opening experience centres. Their number has increased to more than 200.

The company said, “Ola’s Experience Centers have been successful since inception. With this, we have reached closer to the customers. In addition to buying electric scooters in these Experience Centers, they can also be serviced. They are also available in Tier 3 and 4 cities. The numbers are increasing.” Ola Electric said that around 80 per cent of its customers live within a 20 km radius of an experience centre. Ola Electric recently launched new variants of S1 and S1 Air, expanding its portfolio. The company started taking bookings for the S1 Air at Rs 999. The delivery of this electric scooter will start in July.

Ola Electric will launch its first launch in the second quarter of next year. Electric Car can launch. The design of this electric car is being finalized. Recently, Bloomberg quoted the company’s Chief Financial Officer, GR Arun Kumar as saying that the company will get some benefit from the technology being used in its two-wheelers. “Many things like the software, electronics and safety systems will be the same,” he added. Kumar told that company Through local plants, it is working to meet the target of 100 GWh battery cell manufacturing.

Last year, company founder Bhavish Aggarwal had said that Ola Electric aims to launch its first car for less than $50,000. In this segment, the company will compete with companies like Tesla and Hyundai apart from Tata Motors in the country. The company released a teaser of the electric car last year. In this, some hints were given about the exterior and interior of this electric car. A steering wheel with a unique and modern design can be given in it.
