NSS of Punjab Volunteer Shreya Maini for her excellent public welfare work and NSS. NSS for 2021-22 by the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for serving the country with enthusiasm as a volunteer. Selected for Award (Volunteer Category).
Sports and Youth Services Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare congratulated him on being selected for this prestigious award and said that it is a matter of pride for Punjab. Shreya Maini is a guide for the youth of Punjab who have passed NSS. Has rendered valuable services in the field of social service as a volunteer.
This student of APJ Institute of Management and Engineering Technical Campus, Jalandhar participated in various vaccination camps and awareness raising activities about Covid-19 in Jalandhar district. Among the major works undertaken by them are Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, environmental conservation, providing warm clothes to the needy, stationery items for destitute children and dry food items in shelter homes.
The adopted villages were made aware about various schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Ujjwala Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Bima Yojana. They also actively participated in awareness raising activities about stubble burning, dangers of plastic and the importance of millets for the environment, farmers and consumers.
