The Pakistan cricket team is currently playing a three-match T20 series against New Zealand. New Zealand had already won the series by winning the first two matches. Pakistan expected to win the third match but in this match too they had to face defeat. In the third T20, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by 45 runs. Pakistan could not get off to a good start under the leadership of new captain Shaheen Shah Afridi. Rizwan played this ball towards midwicket and ran to get the run but as he ran to get the run he lost his balance and fell. Meanwhile, the bat slipped from his hand. Rizwan did not pick up the bat again and ran out without the bat. When Rizwan reached the non-striker's end, he tried to complete the run with his hand on the crease, but in his haste, he could not even keep his hand inside the crease and ran again for the second run. Due to this, this run became a short run. Rizwan scored only 24 runs in this match.

Finn Allen, the opener for New Zealand, batted brilliantly in this match. He scored a storming century. He scored 137 runs in 62 balls which included five fours and 16 sixes. No one could play such a stormy innings from Pakistan. Babar Azam scored 58 runs and was the highest scorer of the team. Mohammad Nawaz scored 28 runs off 15 balls.
