Sifat has also been selected in the Indian team for the Asian Games to be held in China from September 23 to October 8 this year. He is expected to win a medal there as well. Sifat originally hails from Faridkot, Punjab. His father Pawandeep Singh is a farmer. Sifat is so passionate about shooting that he even quit his medical studies. She was studying medicine from Faridkot Medical College.

Country’s number one shooter in 50m rifle three position Sifat is currently the country’s number one shooter in 50m rifle three position. He has a world ranking of 19. 21-year-old Sifat has achieved remarkable feats in a very short career. Sifat won four medals in the 2022 International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) Junior Cup held in Germany.

In the 50 m rifle 3 positions of that event, he won gold in singles, silver in mixed team event and bronze in team event. In the same tournament, Sifat won a silver medal in the mixed team event of 50m rifle prone. In the senior category, Sifat won a bronze medal in the 50m rifle 3 position team event of the Shooting World Cup held in Changwan.
