Sifat originally hails from Faridkot, Punjab. His father Pawandeep Singh is a farmer. Sifat is so passionate about shooting that he even quit his medical studies. She was studying medicine from Faridkot Medical College.

He has a world ranking of 19. 21-year-old Sifat has achieved remarkable feats in a very short career. Sifat won four medals in the 2022 International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) Junior Cup held in Germany.
In the 50 m rifle 3 positions of that event, he won gold in singles, silver in mixed team event and bronze in team event. In the same tournament, Sifat won a silver medal in the mixed team event of 50m rifle prone. In the senior category, Sifat won a bronze medal in the 50m rifle 3 position team event of the Shooting World Cup held in Changwan.
