The police have arrested Major Singh, his wife and son Karanveer of this village. This included Major’s friend Karan, who is currently missing.
According to the police, the cab driver Satbir Singh had illicit relations with the main accused Major Singh’s wife. When Major Singh came to know about this, there was a big fight in his house. Satbir’s mobile number was blacklisted in his wife’s phone. Even after this he was repeatedly trying to meet the woman.
When the cab driver was unable to meet and talk to Major Singh’s wife, he sent Major Singh an indecent picture of his wife. 10 lakh rupees were demanded by threatening to make his photos and videos viral. Hearing this, Major Singh became more angry.
On September 12, Major Singh called the cab driver Satbir Singh to a liquor stand at Airport Chowk to get Rs 10 lakh. Major Singh also invited his friend Karan there. Here both of them gave alcohol to Satbir Singh. When he got drunk, they both killed him together.
Major and Karan planned to throw Satbir’s cab into the canal. He tied Satbir to the back seat of his taxi. After this, the vehicle was thrown into the canal near Rajpura.
After throwing the car into the canal, Major Singh called his son Karanveer Singh to the bank of the canal. From there the accused Major, his friend Karan and his son Karanveer returned together. The accused Major’s wife was also aware of this entire incident.
DSP City-2 HS Force of Mohali said that the three arrested accused have been produced in the court and have obtained their 5-day police remand. During this remand, the accused can reveal many more secrets. Information is also being obtained about the fourth accused who is absconding from the accused.
