Mobile phones were again recovered from the Central Jail of Faridkot

Incidents of phones being recovered in jails are coming up day by day. The process of getting mobile phones from prisons continues. The recovery of such a large number of mobile phones from the jail raises questions about the security arrangements. One such case has come to light from the Central Jail of Faridkot where 15 mobile phones have been recovered.

Among the recovered mobile phones, 4 are smart phones and 11 are feature phones. These phones were recovered from the inmates of Center Model Jail Faridkot. The Jail Superintendent said that during the search operation of the barracks, apart from the recovered mobile phone, a large quantity of jarda, beedi and cigarettes were also recovered from the inmates.

On the complaint of the jail administration, a case has been registered against 5 prisoners and one unidentified person in Kotwali police station and further investigation is going on.
