Dense fog alert has been issued for the next four days in 15 districts of Punjab including Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Moga, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Barnala, Mansa, Sangrur and Patiala. The Meteorological Department has advised drivers to drive with caution.
Light to moderate rain is expected at some places in the districts of Majha and Doaba region on Saturday. Trains running on Delhi, Amritsar and Jammu railway lines were affected due to fog on Friday. Passengers had to face a lot of trouble due to the delay of the train.
While waiting for trains, passengers kept visiting the inquiry center repeatedly to know the status. Passengers traveling on reserved tickets had to face a lot of trouble. By late evening, there was some improvement in the train timetable.
