Former finance minister and BJP leader Manpreet Singh Badal, involved in the Bathinda land allotment case, may appear before the vigilance today. Vigilance has issued a notice and summoned them for questioning on November 20. Today they will reach Bathinda vigilance office.
The authorities will question them there. It is worth mentioning that in the same case, liquor businessman Jaswinder Singh alias Jugnu and CA Sanjeev Kumar were nominated in this case but then they too got bail from the court.
Let it be said that only Jugnu and Sanjeev got bail in the local court, all the others had to approach the High Court. On the other hand, the vigilance officials claim that during the investigation of this matter, it has come to light that Manpreet Badal’s plot was bid by Sanjeev Kumar from Jugnu’s office. Vikas, Rajeev and Amandeep, who were arrested in this case, had admitted that they had bid for the then minister’s plot only on the request of the said contractor.
