Former Finance Minister Manpreet Badal will appear before Vigilance Bureau Bathinda on Tuesday i.e. today and participate in the investigation of plot purchase case in Model Town Phase One. It is being told that Manpreet Badal along with his lawyer will reach the vigilance office at the time given by the vigilance.
Vigilance team ready for questioning
The vigilance team has also made full preparations to interrogate Manpreet Badal and a list of questions has also been prepared by the vigilance officer. In which Manpreet Badal will also be questioned about the purchase and sale of plots and other matters.
It may be mentioned that the Vigilance Bureau Bathinda has issued summons to the former Finance Minister and BJP leader Manpreet Badal for the second time and ordered him to appear in the office of the Vigilance Bureau Range Bathinda on October 31. The Vigilance Bureau had earlier issued summons to Manpreet Badal for October 23 but he did not appear citing back pain.
The passport was also submitted to the Vigilance Bureau
Along with this, Manpreet Badal sent an email to PGI Chandigarh through his lawyer and submitted a certificate of bed rest for one week to the Vigilance Bureau. On the orders of the High Court, Manpreet Singh Badal handed over his passport to the Vigilance Bureau. Lawyer Sukhdeep Singh Bhinder said that Manpreet Badal has been suffering from back pain for a long time. He said that Manpreet Badal is unable to walk.
Ongoing treatment in PGI Chandigarh
Advocate Bhinder said that he is undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh. Manpreet Badal’s lawyer had appealed to the officials of the Vigilance Bureau that they can go to his residence in Chandigarh and make inquiries. It is worth mentioning that on October 16, the High Court had granted anticipatory bail to Manpreet Badal, but many important facts have come to light in this matter.
