Chandigarh: Regarding the VVIP facilities given to gangster Mukhtar Ansari in jail, Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Malwinder Singh Kang said that targeting the previous governments, the extent to which the money of the people of Punjab has been misused by the previous governments is an example of this. It can be said that first the most wanted gangster Mukhtar Ansari was kept in the jail of Punjab and then to save him in Punjab, big lawyers were given lakhs of rupees for each appearance.

Kang said that this is not only a hidden shelter but it is misuse of the money of the people of Punjab. He said that in the same way, the gangster culture has been promoted in the state in the past years. He said that in the past days, uniformed people have been nominated to help the gangsters in jails and how they used to run the drug business in the jails has also come to light.

Kang said that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has also taken strict action against these officers. Kang said that the people who have escaped by keeping the gangsters in the jails of Punjab and have given them legal help, the government will investigate the matter and no one will be spared.

Mukhtar Ansari is accused of demanding extortion from Mohali’s Bilinder. A case was also registered in Sohana police station regarding this. After which Ansari was brought to Punjab and kept in Ropar Jail. Police took action on the basis of audio call recording. The samples of which were sent to an external lab from Punjab for testing, but so far the police has not shared any information about what happened to those samples.

The Uttar Pradesh police wrote several letters to the Punjab government asking Ansari to be handed over to them, but the Captain’s government ignored all the letters. After which the UP police approached the Supreme Court and won the case and brought Mukhtar Ansari back to Uttar Pradesh. Mukhtar Ansari was in Ropar jail for almost 2 years. The Punjab government had hired senior lawyers to fight the case in the Supreme Court. whose bills have not been paid yet. And now the Supreme Court lawyer sent the file of 55 lakhs to the Punjab government, then the government refused to pay the bill.
