According to information, a video of the commotion caused by the students associated with the Student Organization of India (SOI) student union has come to light in Chandigarh. The police have cut the e-challans of 11 vehicles by identifying them on the basis of the video. Now after identifying their drivers, preparations are being made to cancel their driving license. Police are identifying the drivers seen in the video.
The student organization took out a rally from PGI Chowk to Sector 16 Hospital Chowk on 21st. During the rally, student leaders sat on the bonnets and roofs of vehicles. This activity of the students was captured in the cameras installed under Smart City. When the police came to know, the police took action.
Chandigarh Traffic Police has issued a strict warning regarding the student union elections. It has been said on behalf of the police that if any student union or student leader does any activity contrary to traffic rules, strict action will be taken against him. In this case, students have been e-challaned under many rules like bonnet, sitting on roof and driving.
During the rally, the student leaders were trying to enter the college in Sector-11. A guard present there tried to stop them. These student leaders clashed with the guards. On the other hand, SOI leaders say that the guard was only trying to see whether the students were from the college or from outside. On this, the students entered the college by showing him the I-card.
