Mumbai. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday said Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar was ignoring the election results of the three northeastern states as per his convenience and termed the Kasba Peth assembly bypoll results as a sign of change.

Significantly, NCP chief Pawar had termed the BJP’s defeat at the hands of the Congress in the by-polls in Pune’s Kasba Peth seat, which is considered a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stronghold, as a sign of winds of change blowing in the country. Shinde said, “Pawar is looking at the election results as per his convenience. He is ignoring the results of three states in the Northeast region and is only talking about the Kasba Peth assembly seat.”
