Big action of ED, TMC leader Shankar Adhya arrested in ration scam case

ED has arrested the former chairman of Bongaon municipality Shankar Adhya in the ration scam today. Shankar was arrested early in the morning. Earlier, the incident of attack on ED in Bengal came to light.

ED is continuously conducting raids in the case of ration scam in the state. On January 5, the ED team was attacked in North 24 Parganas district when they were going to raid the houses of Shankar and Trinamool Congress leader Sheikh Shahjahan in the ration case.

According to ED officials, supporters of the Trinamool Congress leader started protesting outside the leader's residence. While the raid was underway and later, a mob attacked the ED officials and vandalized their cars. Due to which the car windows were broken. Two officers of the agency were injured in this incident. After the attack on the ED team, the politics of the state has heated up. Sheikh Shahjahan is considered to be close to former food minister Jyotipriya Malik.

Let us tell you that on Thursday, the ED team was attacked and its vehicles damaged in Sandeshkhali village of North 24 Parganas of West Bengal. In fact, the ED tried to raid the houses of block-level leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC).

An official of the agency said that the raid was related to the ration scam case. According to reports, the ED was raiding the house of former Bongaon Municipality Chairman Shankar Adhya and TMC leader Sheikh Shah Jahan in the alleged ration scam case.
