Nagpur. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said the Election Commission’s decision in favor of Eknath Shinde has established that Shinde leads the “real Shiv Sena”.
Fadnavis said,Shiv Sena running on the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray – Shiv Sena of CM Shinde has become real Shiv Sena. My salutations to him. We were confident from day one because if you look at the earlier orders of the Election Commission on different parties, they were similar decisions.”

Fadnavis said, “It is now proved that Eknath Shinde is leading the real Shiv Sena. The decision has been vetted. Shiv Sena is a party with ideology. Shinde is taking the ideology forward… He is following in the footsteps of (Shiv Sena founder) Balasaheb Thackeray.”

It is noteworthy that today the Election Commission recognized the faction led by Chief Minister Shinde as the real Shiv Sena and provided the party’s original election symbol ‘bow and arrow’. (with agency inputs)
