According to the information received from the police, at around 00:44 last night, the Alipur police received a PCR call about the death of several people on the spot in a collision between two vehicles on the GTK road. On which the police reached the spot and found that two trucks collided on Upper GTK Highway (NH-44). In which a truck was going from Mianwali (near Nangloi) to Haridwar carrying passengers.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a Delhi-bound Haryana numbered truck collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction on the central divider, in which the crow was carrying passengers. A total of 14 people are said to be injured in this accident, out of which the condition of 2 is said to be critical. While 4 many painful deaths have occurred in this terrible collision. All the injured have been admitted to different hospitals for treatment.
After the incident, the accused truck driver escaped from the spot. In this regard, the police have started investigation by registering a case under the relevant sections in Alipur police station. Along with this, a major road accident has also been reported from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, in which a school bus and a car collided head-on on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. Six people in the car died in this accident.
