Amritsar News: The officials and members of the Shiromani Committee have strongly condemned the attempt of some people to link this matter with casteism after taking the management of the land owned by Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Talwandi Sabo.

Speaking at the Shiromani Committee office, Senior Vice President of Shiromani Committee Avtar Singh Riya and Atrangi member Mohan Singh Bangi said that the issue of 15 kanal, 14 marla land owned by Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Talwandi Sabo is wrongly colored by some people under personal interests. is being given

He said that the case of this land has been won by the Shiromani Committee through different courts, under which arrangements have been made. While some people are making it a matter of casteism with a deliberate conspiracy. He said that the case between the Shiromani Committee and Bunga Nanaksar has been going on since 2008 at the Civil Court Talwandi Sabo, which was in favor of the Shiromani Committee in 2011. After this, Bunga Nanaksar’s committee appealed in the court of Additional District Judge, Bathinda, whose decision also came in favor of Shiromani Committee on 24 May 2013.

A case was filed by Bunga Nanaksar in the Punjab and Haryana High Court against this decision, which was dismissed in 2015. After the decision of the Hon’ble Court in favor of the Shiromani Committee, an appeal was filed in the court of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bathinda, to get the management of this land, which was accepted on 24 January 2018. On 16 November 2018, the Shiromani Committee got a warrant to manage the said land, but the action could not be taken during the Corona epidemic.

He said that in the meantime, the other party approached Sri Akal Takht Sahib Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh, on whose order a sub-committee was formed by the Shiromani Committee for negotiations. In this regard, the names of 11 member committee were also given by the other party. It was decided to give 3 kanals of land and 50 lakh rupees as an aid in these two committees. In the same way yesterday, the management of the land has been taken by the Shiromani Committee within the legal framework.

He said that the sad thing is that the committee with which an agreement was reached with the Shiromani Committee, now other people are confusing the matter instead of him. Even these people are creating confusion in the sect by giving caste color.

Meanwhile, Shiromani Committee Junior Vice President Avtar Singh Riya clearly said that Shiromani Committee has always respected all classes and never discriminated following the thinking of Guru Sahib. He said that as an example of this, he is to be served as the junior vice president of the Shiromani Committee. Along with this, at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, people belonging to different communities are also posted on many administrative posts, including the respected positions of Head Granthi and Granthi Sahibans. Thousands of employees from different categories are serving in the overall management of the Shiromani Committee. No one is discriminated against.

He said that confusing the matter of Takht Sri Damdama Sahib’s land as casteism is purely related to personal motives and the Sangat should be wary of such people. He also said that the duty of the Shiromani Committee is to protect the lands and properties of the Gurudwaras along with the arrangements of the Gurudwaras.

They are not the personal property of anyone, they are the trust of the cult. He said that the Shiromani Committee does not force force in any matter and the path of consideration is adopted in every matter. The solution of this matter was also resolved through mutual agreement and negotiation, but some people are becoming obstacles in it. He said that these people should also sit and talk with the Shiromani Committee. On this occasion, Shiromani Committee members Jagsir Singh Mangeana, Balwinder Singh Veimpui, Bibi Joginder Kaur, Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Manager Ranjit Singh, Meet Manager Gurdev Singh and others were present.
