Land Rover Defender 130 is the latest luxury off-roader from the company, which has been launched in India. The new Defender 130 is the largest version of the Defender series, which can seat a maximum of eight people. Two models are already being sold in this series in India, the first of which includes the three-door Defender 90 and the five-door Defender 110. The new Land Rover Defender 130 is offered in two variants – HSE and X and both the models are available with both petrol and diesel engine options.

Talking about the price, the Land Rover Defender 130 in India starts from Rs.1.30 Crore and goes up to Rs.1.41 Crore (Ex-showroom).

The new Land Rover Defender 130 model is based on the existing 110 version, but the new model includes more space in the third row than before. Other than that, there are no other changes in the build. The new Defender 130 offers a total of 2,516 liters of storage space if the last row seats are folded down, which is 953 liters more than the 110.

The Land Rover Defender 130 is offered in two variants – HSE and X, both of which are offered with petrol and diesel engine options. The Defender 130’s 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine produces 296 bhp of maximum power and 650 Nm of peak torque. Whereas, the 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine is capable of generating 394 Bhp and 550 Nm. Both the engines get mild-hybrid technology and are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The Land Rover Defender 130 continues to retain features like the 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with PiviPro, a digital instrument console, connected car tech, four-zone climate control, Meridian sound system and electrically adjustable front seats. These include a 360-degree camera, matrix LED headlamps, air suspension and 20-inch wheels.
