One month ago, Maruti Swift also got a zero rating for safety. Thus, in 2 months, 2 cars including the company’s Blaeno car have proved to be fussy in the Latin NCAP crash test. Since the country’s first Blaeno launch in 2015, it has sold more than 9 lakh units.
NCAP attributed the car’s zero star rating to poor side safety, lack of airbags for standard side body and head safety, lack of standard electronic stability control (ESC) and child restraint system (CR). S.) is reported to be absent.
The Maruti Blaeno is available in 9 versions. Prices start at Rs 5.97 lakh and the top-spec trim is priced at Rs 9.33 lakh. In the last three months of the Blaeno, the WagonR has been in the top 3 in terms of sales in July after the WagonR, Swift with 14,729 cars. In August, Blaeno topped the list with 15,646 cars sold.
