BMW G 310 RR vs TVS Apache RR 310: The BMW G 310 RR has been a favorite of Indian sports bike lovers for quite some time now. On the other hand, talking about the Indian flagship bike, the TVS Apache RR 310 sports bike looks exactly like the BMW G 310. Many people think that TVS has copied BMW whereas the truth is that TVS Apache RR 310 was launched in 2017 and BMW G 310 RR in 2018. Yet how are both the bikes so similar?
The reason for this is that the TVS company collaborated with BMW Motorrad to develop the TVS Apache RR 310 engine. That’s why the design of both the bikes also looks similar to a great extent. But even in these two similar looking bikes, there are not one but 5 such differences which you will not easily know. Let us tell you –
1. There is a slight difference in mileage
Talking about the power of these two bikes, both the beans generate maximum power of 34bhp at 9700 rpm, provide torque of 27nm, but in terms of mileage, Apache 310 is slightly ahead, Apache 310 gives a mileage of 33 kilometers per liter. while G 310 returns an average of 30 kmpl.
2. There is a difference in the petrol tank too
Talking about the tank capacity, the TVS Apache RR 310 gets an 11-litre tank while the BMW G310 gets a 12-litre tank with a 1-litre reserve as well. However, due to this, the weight of BMW G310 increases slightly, which makes a minor difference to the mileage of the bike.
3. Fuel indicator is necessary
Talking about electricals, both the bikes get headlight, backlight and indicator LEDs but the low fuel indicator is available only in tvs apache 310, BMW G 310 does not have this feature.
4. Looks same but have different frames
The sporty look of the BMW G 310 RR was very famous because of its frame. Although the look of TVS Apache 310 RR is also eye catching. While the tubular space frame has been used in the BMW G310, the TVS Apache has a Trellis frame on the split chassis.
5. There is a big difference in price
This is one of the most important sections where there is a lot of difference between the two bikes. TVS apache 310 RR is available at an ex-showroom price of only 2 lakh 65 lakhs, while the ex-showroom price of BMW G 310 RR is 2 lakh 90 thousand. That is, there is a direct difference of at least 25 thousand between both the bikes. Insurance and RTO cost in rest of the BMWs will definitely be more than TVS.
