According to the information, a poster was put up in police station number 4 of Jalandhar. On this poster, it is written in clear letters that ‘It is prohibited to enter the police station wearing knickers and capris.’ This poster is written in Punjabi language. Which makes it easy for everyone to read. After this poster, when the police officer was spoken to, he explained the reason.
Knicker-Capri now ban
Additional SHO Surjit Singh said that many people come to the police station in Nikkar and Capri without understanding the police station’s etiquette. Many people of police personnel have also filed objections regarding this matter. He has also said that many people are sensible and don’t do such things but some people come to Nikkar and Capri with their grievances. Surjit Singh said that when more people come to the police station to register their complaint, some different people also come with them.
The police officer even said that if someone comes to the police station in such clothes, no legal action will be taken on his complaint. He also said that the staff has made people aware about this many times. However, this notice was issued several days ago and has been pasted outside many police stations.
