'Until Shubhkaran Singh gets justice, we will not cremate him': farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher

The controversy of the young farmer Shubhkaran Singh, who was killed in a clash between the police and protesting farmers during the farmers' protest on the Punjab-Haryana border, is getting deeper.

In this regard, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that until justice is done for the death of the slain youth, his last rites will not be performed. Sarwan Singh Pandher said that the Haryana Police is directly responsible for the death of Shubkaran Singh and an FIR should be registered against him.

He said that the Haryana government should register a case under section 302 of the IPS against those people who are responsible for the death of farmer Shubkaran Singh. We will not bury the young man till he gets justice. There should be a complaint against the Haryana Police and paramilitary forces, who are responsible for his death.

Regarding resuming the Delhi March, Pandher said that a decision will be taken soon after a meeting on this subject. Another protesting farmer has died on the Khanuri border, after which the number of farmers who have died during the ongoing protest under the call of 'Delhi Chalo' has gone up to 4.

Let us tell you that since February 13, farmers have been standing on different borders of Haryana-Punjab with tractor-trolleys to put pressure on the Center for their demands including legal guarantee of MSP for crops and loan waiver. However, during the previous round of talks, a panel of 3 Union Ministers had accepted the proposal from farmers to give MSP on 5 crops.
