Bureau Report: After the arrest of senior Congress MLA Sukhpal Sigh Khaira in a drug case, a major statement by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal has come out. Chief Minister Mann, while addressing in Dhuri, said without naming Khaira, those who said that no one can help us, don’t impose this clause, don’t impose that clause, all will pay. Those whose names have come up in the drug case will be fully accounted for. On the other hand, the Chief Minister of Delhi said that I do not want to make personal comments against anyone, but it has been learned that a leader has been arrested for drug addiction in Punjab. I don’t have any details about it but one thing is clear that the Aam Aadmi Party government will end drug addiction in Punjab. The Hon’ble government has waged a war against drugs because drugs have ruined our generation. Arvinder Kejriwal’s statement has also come out regarding the alliance.

Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal said clearly that we are part of the ‘INDIA’ alliance and fully stand by it. While the leader of opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa said that I have informed the party high command about Khaira’s arrest. We will not form an alliance with AAP in Punjab during the Lok Sabha elections, our leaders are capable of contesting elections on their own. Bajwa said that the Congress leaders are being taken in by the government without fault. How can we become a part of the alliance with AAP in Punjab? The leader of the opposition party said that Sukhpal Khaira was opening the polls of the Punjab government, that is why he has been targeted due to revenge. Earlier, state party president Raja Waring and leader of opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa, who came to meet Khaira in Jalalabad, alleged that they were not allowed to meet.

State Congress President Raja Waring shared photos on his social media account and wrote ‘Sukhpal first reached Jalalabad Sadar police station to meet Khaira ji where the police told us that Khaira Saab was taken to Fazilka. We reached there but even there the police officers refused to meet us. Earlier, a sitting MLA was arrested under the politics of revenge and now no one is being allowed to meet him. This behavior of the police administration is highly condemnable.

On the other hand, the leader of the opposition, Pratap Singh Bajwa, also tweeted, “We went to Fazilka to meet Sukhpal Singh Khaira, but the police prevented us from meeting him.” We will take to the streets against this vindictive policy and will not bow down to Aam Aadmi Party’s pressure tactics’.
