Bureau Report: On August 14, Gurdwara Pa. Sri Akal Takht’s Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh has taken strict notice of the verbal abuse that took place between the office bearers of the Haryana Gurdwara Management Committee during the meeting held at the Eighth Panjokhara Sahib. Jathedar Sahib said that he is receiving complaints about this incident from all over the world through phone and letter. In this matter, the written applications of Haryana Gurdwara Management Committee President Mahant Karamjit Singh, General Secretary Gurvinder Singh and other members have also reached Sri Akal Takht. After serious consideration of the related complaints, strict instructions have been issued by Shri Akal Takht to all the members.
Jathedar Sri Akal Takht Giani Raghbir Singh has said that as long as this matter is under consideration at Sri Akal Takht, there should not be any kind of meeting of the office bearers of Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee except for the routine work. Apart from this, the Jathedar Sahib has instructed that no member of the Haryana Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee should make any statements against each other in newspapers or on social media. Jathedar Sahib said that soon a sub-committee will be formed which after investigating the whole matter will submit its report to Mr. Akal Takht Sahib who will decide the next course of action after discussing it in the meeting of Panj Pyaras.
Baljit Singh Daduwal, former president of Haryana Gurdwara Management Committee, blamed the president Mahant Karamjit Singh for the commotion in the meeting held on August 14. He had said that he has not called the meeting of the committee. Mahant Karam Singh has appointed such people as employees who were already working in his camp. Daduwal also alleged that Mahant Karan Singh has kept with him people involved in drugs and corrupt in the Gurdwara Management Committee who have gone to jail many times. In response, Mahant Karamjit Singh alleged that Daduwal had scammed millions during his tenure. We did not speak on this because the belief of the Sangat is shaken with the defamation of the committee.
